Mural at Surrey Street Primary School

We have just finished an amazing transformation of a dull looking mobile classroom at Surrey Street Primary School in Luton. We worked with the year 6 class to create a mural based on underwater and mythological creatures. Everyone was so pleased with the end result. Here are some kind words from the class teacher:

“I just wanted to send a quick email to say how impressed I am with the art work James, Mark and the children have produced. James and Mark have a great way of working with the children and have never grown impatient with their many questions. They made the children feel valued and encouraged them to take ownership of the artwork.

The artwork is outstanding and already staff and parents have commented on it’s quality.

I hope that we can work together soon and will keep pushing Positive Arts’ name for any future projects.”

Workshop at the Sunday Times- Festival of Education 2014

We were invited down to the lovely Wellington College to run a workshop at the Sunday Times- Festival of Education by the Diana Award. We had a great day helping to creat

some amazing artwork for the y/p passing through.

Workshop at Waterloo Primary School, Liverpool

We have just been up to Liverpool to do a really successful one day workshop with the Year 6 kids from Waterloo Primary School. We created some great boards for display  based on their new school code of conduct.

Positive Arts at Pop up Talent shops

We have just taken part in several pop up talent shops across London in Croydon, Braintree and Harlow. On the day we engaged the y/p in an inspiring workshop and shared our knowledge and experiences as professional artists. An important part of what we do is to encourage, inspire and empower y/p to enter into the arts like us so it was great to be part of these events along with several other employers!

Lewisham Thunder Basketball Club

We have just finished 3 workshops at Lewisham Thunder Basketball Club now based in Bermondsey. We created 6 pieces of artwork around the court working with the regular y/p. They were a variety of ages, backgrounds and abilities and really enjoyed the chance to take ownership of the space. Check the amazing artwork out!
