Springfield Rise Young People put their creative skills into action

Residents of Springfield Rise in Sydenham were invited to attend free activities during half term week hosted by Mulalley and L&Q. A vast  array of artistic activities were on offer to local  children including graffiti art workshops,  t-shirt designing, puzzles and competitions.

Positive Arts worked with a group of local young people between the ages of 8-18 to create a mural themed on regeneration and community to be mounted on to the site hoardings.

Mulalley is currently carrying out £1.4million worth of external repair and modernisation works to 3 blocks of flats including concrete repairs, window and door replacements and external wall insulation.  Operations Director Bruce Benson said: “It is important for us to hold events in the areas we are working in. It helps us get to know the people we are working with and invest in the local community. ..It was great to see children come and get involved and enjoying all the activities we put on for them.”
