FOOTBALLERS encouraged youngsters to be ‘Health Wise’ when they unveiled a colourful mural.
Crystal Palace Football Club captain Carl Fletcher and team coach Kit Symons unveiled the mural at Hilda Lane Community Centre in Anerley.
The mural, which spells out the words ‘Be Health Wise’, was produced by 20 youngsters aged between 11 and 18, assisted by professional street artist, Julian Phethean of Positive Arts.
The initiative was organised as part of the Positive Futures programme organised by Broomleigh Housing alongside other agencies including Bromley My Time, Football Foundation, the youth offending team and the drug action team.
The three-year programme uses sport and leisure activities to have a positive influence on young people’s lives and includes twice-weekly football coaching in the community centre, with Crystal Palace Football Club.
