Mulalley Workshop

We had the pleasure of working with Mulalley Construction Company again on a one day workshop with pupils from Garfield Primary School, in Southgate, North London. They helped us to create a huge mural on boards which will be mounted onto to some hoardings near the school. The theme was ‘Beautify Enfield”

3D floor mural in Baku, Azerbaijan

The Positive arts team had the pleasure of being invited to Baku in Azerbaijan to create a huge 3-d floor mural for the IDEA, an organisation run by the presidents daughter Leila. It was in a new new park in the city centre and measured around 7 x 20 metres. It took 5 days of backbreaking work to create the illusion of looking down into a waterfall surrounded by mountains, featuring the big five animals in Azerbaijan- caucasian leopard, brown bear, eagle, wolf and gazelle. Everybody was really amazed by the outcome and the local loved taking photos. The mural was officially opened by the Presidents daughter Leila and lots of other government officials.

During our time there we also helped and mentored some young aspiring Azerbaijani artists. We assisted them to create there own floor murals next to ours.

Mural at Surrey Street Primary School

We have just finished an amazing transformation of a dull looking mobile classroom at Surrey Street Primary School in Luton. We worked with the year 6 class to create a mural based on underwater and mythological creatures. Everyone was so pleased with the end result. Here are some kind words from the class teacher:

“I just wanted to send a quick email to say how impressed I am with the art work James, Mark and the children have produced. James and Mark have a great way of working with the children and have never grown impatient with their many questions. They made the children feel valued and encouraged them to take ownership of the artwork.

The artwork is outstanding and already staff and parents have commented on it’s quality.

I hope that we can work together soon and will keep pushing Positive Arts’ name for any future projects.”

Gregory Iszchak, Year 6 Teacher

Lewisham Thunder Basketball Club

We have just finished 3 workshops at Lewisham Thunder Basketball Club now based in Bermondsey. We created 6 pieces of artwork around the court working with the regular y/p. They were a variety of ages, backgrounds and abilities and really enjoyed the chance to take ownership of the space. Check the amazing artwork out!
