A group of pupils have bee working on a portfolio of work to get their Entry Level Certificate in Art and Design. It has been a great success and due to the amazingly high standard of the work they all passed with flying colours. Heres some of the work from a display at the School.

We have just finished a 10-week Street Art programme with a group of students from Kingswood Pupil Referral Unit, Bromley, kent. We have just got back from a series of workshops for the the Army Welfare Services (AWS)  in Germany. We worked with groups of y/p between the ages of 8-16 in Gutersloh, Munster and Herford Youth Centres based on the army barracks. For the second time running we have been working with Affinity Sutton Housing Association to engage local kids from the estate to produce some positive street art boards for display on the hoardings of the redevelopment site!Here are some pics of the boards up. For the past 2 months local young people from Young Friends of Southwark Park and the Youth Inclusion Programme have given up their Saturday’s to work with Positive Arts in the snow and ice and occasionally the sun to produce this wonderful mural.
This project was funded by Community Space Challenge.

The evening was a great success with lots of  young people with their parents/carers/workers attending to enjoy the artwork, food and film about the project. There are more pics of the artwork in the Croydon YOT section of the gallery!

We have just finished a 6 week art project with a group of young people who attend the Aquarius mental Health Unit at Springfield Hospital, London. They produced two boards based on the themes of recovery and youth culture for display in the hospital.

For the opening of the of the ‘Ur Choice’ Art exhibition at Battersea Arts Centre we had a private view where the participants and their parents, carers and other professionals were invited to celebrate their achievements. After the success of the first exhibition last year we have completed another 8-week art programme with Battersea crime prevention team, this time focussing on gun crime and gang culture!The work will be previewed and displayed for two weeks at the Battersea Arts Centre from Thursday 24th July!Please see flyer below!
